What began as a one-wine production turned into something far more than we could have imagined. We’re proud of where we’ve been – and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Our story

Tatum Cellars was founded in 2012 – the same year our daughter, Tatum Rose, was born. During that time, owner and winemaker Joshua Fritsche was immersed in the cellars of William Chris Vineyards when he noticed a gap in the Texas wine landscape: there was a lack of truly dry, Provence-style rosé. From that realization, Tatum Rosé was born.

What began as a singular focus on dry rosé quickly grew. Demand for the first 40 cases sparked an expansion into additional varietals, all crafted with the same intention and restraint. Josh began partnering with exceptional Texas growers, meticulously sourcing fruit that could stand on its own. Those relationships became the foundation of Tatum Cellars and ultimately led to a focus on single-vineyard wines – each one an honest expression of Texas terroir.
