Our story…

Tatum Cellars came about in 2012, the same year as the birth of our daughter, Tatum Rose. Joshua Fritsche, our founder and winemaker, immersed himself in the cellars and vineyards of William Chris when he noticed the Texas wine industry was severely lacking in a specific wine style, dry rosé … then the idea of Tatum Rosé was born.

Initially, the brand was focused solely on dry, Provence-style rosé but the demand for the initial 40 cases, pushed him to make more wine with more varietals. Josh began partnering with outstanding growers to meticulously source the finest fruit in the state. His relationships with these growers fueled the growth for Tatum Cellars and paved the way for Josh to focus on single-vineyard offerings, allowing him to authentically showcase the distinct Texas terroir.
